Source isn't BD, it's a re-encode of someone else's encode using basic beginnerr presets.

Also known as a "remake".  Remakes are common.  If you look at the AT homepage you'll see an orange dot next to the Nyaa reference meaning it was listed by the torrent author as a "remake" and its title description follows Nyaa's rules.  Remakes are very common these days.  Some convert to hardsubs, some to HEVC, and some to smaller file sizes.  The quality varies.  If you don't want to see remake listings you can avoid them with the filter at the top of the AT homepage.

Then everything except for BDMV's and ISO's are 'remakes' by those standards, but I don't see nyaa enforcing that pov.
Even physical BD's are remakes then because they are encodes of the much larger source files.

Read Nyaa's rules and see if you can change their minds, if you want.  There is a logic for having a category for a lossy encode of a lossy encode of a disk.  And we call it a "remake".  By your definitions, we don't give titles for anything of which everything is a member.  And not everything is a lossy encode of a lossy encode of a disk.

I don't need to change their minds or even care to. I'm pointing out there are tons of files based on what you said that are not listed as remakes on nyaa but are remakes according to what you said.
In the case of this file here the releaser listed the source as [BD] when in fact they didn't use a BD or even a BDMV as the source, they used someone else's encode.
