1. If someone doesn't give a reason ("Commie is better") they don't have one.

2. AnimeNOW gives you both Commie and Mazui sub tracks.   Dual subs are one of the big pluses for a BD.

3. I have the Commie 720p, 1080p, and the AnimeNOW 1080p.  The 1080p looks better if you have the equipment to see the difference.  Commie generally doesn't do 1080p if they don't believe it is merited.  So who do you believe: This anon or Commie?

Ignorant opinions deserve to be slammed.  They should use their time to learn instead.

If the world of technology never changed from this point onward I would agree. Those who collect these files to watch again in the future, the "4K" future will wish they got the 1080p version instead of the 720p version. Of course they have to really like the series or it's a waste of disk space.

Others like myself have a 1080p display and yes there is a slight difference of more details watching 1080p files. It is not necessary for all series but for the ones we love why not!?! And really we should leave the decision up to the viewer after all it is their choice to make and no one else to.

All of this boils down to personal taste, you don't think this show needs 1080p while others might think it does. For your personal reality you're right, and for someone else's personal reality you're wrong. In the real reality it doesn't matter cause neither is right nor wrong.

Now if I have misunderstood what you meant, in other words you were requesting to get Commie 720p BD version because you wanted it. In the future I would recommend that you start off with "I would like to request Commie's 720p version of this series please." or "Please can you get the Commie 720p BD version" That would have avoided all this.
