Well this was shit, can't AnimeNOW get anything right? Why doesn't he just quit already?
29/05/2013 19:30 — zooby
Don't like it? Don't get it.
29/05/2013 20:11 — Anonymous
Agreed,he is horrible at encoding .He should have realised that he's not doing a good job by now and quit.

Does this guy just always pretend to be two people, or does he actually have multiple personality disorder?  The world may never care...
29/05/2013 20:54 — zooby
Don't like his encoding, then don't get his encodes. Some haters also want to get groups to stop subbing because they "suck". Commie, GG, and Hadena keep going though. You'd have more success at attempting to hurt the guy's feelings by emailing him directly or posting directly on his site rather than a site that just provides DDLs.

Then again, it would be more beneficial to you to just ignore "crap" encodes and just go about your daily routine. Unless of course, it's part of your life to put down a person/groups efforts. Whatever floats your boat.
29/05/2013 22:21 — Anonymous
Do you own this site zooby and are adding posting rules ?.Last time i checked the FAQ anyone could post what they liked without being bossed around .
29/05/2013 23:19 *A_Registered_Trademark
zooby is right on target.  And this person who wants less free anime choices for everyone (strange person that you are) please note Admin's minimal guidelines on comments:

"Critical comments are welcome, however note that statements such as "X is crap" or "Y sucks" are NOT criticisms and aren't useful to anyone. Please back such statements up with reasoning to be both informative and demonstrate that you aren't just some whiney kid."

Got that, whiney kid?  And Admin DOES own this site.

Well some people like yourself and zooby enjoy anything that is free ,while others do not.It is personal preference and based on having enough video encoding knowledge to be able to spot the issues [which you clearly do not].As for AnimeNOW releases ,just check nyaa comments on his torrents for plenty of examples.Such as re-encoding raws to worse quality, encoding video to the wrong aspect ratio,v2ing 2 minute ovas, poorly editing subtitles to the point that they are ineligible ,verbally attacking people that point out said flaws and more.Would you describe that useless comments or whiny ?.It is more just ignorance on your part due lack of knowledge.
30/05/2013 00:41 *alpeia2
"Would you describe that useless comments or whiny ?"
Yes I would since the top post DID NOT include what the problems with the mkv were.
"Well this was shit, can't AnimeNOW get anything right? Why doesn't he just quit already?"
He/she did not state any facts at all, so I would conceder that whiney, in fact anyone would.

"It is more just ignorance on your part due lack of knowledge."
No. We all know about AnimeNow and thier encoding. We just go else where to get our stuff, at least I do.

Share the love & get a grip.

Oh boy
There are a lot of people on Nyaa who couldn't give a shit about the release but would rather just hate on the user that uploaded the torrent. The anime community is full of people who have self confidence issues so they take it out on the internet (this is pretty common on the internet). I have said in the past and I will say it again. I did used to "re-encode", but that was mostly just TV shows where only 5 - 10 people actually cared about my release (I stopped doing it half way in, learning from my mistake). Very (very) early Blu-ray projects are "re-encodes."
I've only encoded 2 files the wrong aspect ration and that was that witch movie; 720p and 480p was wrong - this movie was already done by 1000+ groups and people only really downloaded my 1080p (correct aspect ratio) one anyways.
Saying I'm bad because of having to do a v2 on ANYTHING (from a 30 second short to a 2 hour long movie), is retarded. People make mistakes; and with Senyuu where it was a small little translation mistake which I fixed early in the morning for people - I would say I did the right thing - I could of left people with the totally wrong punchline and people would of still been "yeah I liked/dis-liked that OVA" not knowing about the last line at all being wrong. Subgroups do this shit, they TL the wrong line and don't care about viewer feedback.
"Poorly editing" I have a feeling you're just basing this off one original translation.
I don't "attack" people, I reply in the same manner they comment to me. They say shit like "shit release" (not backing up) I will have a go at them for being cunts. Stop being a twat and show reason behind complaining. Same with positive feedback: tell the subgroup why you liked it.
"Whiny" oh boy you haven't seen half the shit most users post on Nyaa.
I don't ignore the fact I don't know a lot with encoding or subbing. I embrace the fact to learn more and improve on my general knowledge with such stuff.
To put it simply: Hey ho, I'm a guy that encodes anime and people watch the moving pictures I encode.
25/06/2013 19:29 — Anonymous
Inferior video quality. Not BD. Not worthy to download.
07/09/2013 01:53 — Anonymous
Seeing as how it looks JUST like the blu-ray you're wrong in so many ways
29/05/2013 22:45 — Anonymous
Hey, I don't appreciate you adding gg to the "suck" group. They are the reason why Baka-Test was funny. Sure, they had some over the top lines in it, but if they didn't subbed it we would only be getting dull subs from Mochi.
29/05/2013 23:39 *A_Registered_Trademark
It's been a quiet revolution, but gg has changed the world of fansub.  They decided to put a priority on entertainment over literal translations when needed.  And other fansubs have slowly followed that move.  For example, look at utw versus gg on the recent 8th Grader Syndrome anime.  Compare the early episodes where there are some big differences in their versions to the later ones which are more similar.

Navel treaties may need literal translations, but for anime the entertainment argument is irresistible -within some bounds.  The problem now is that it's hard to say what those bounds should be.
30/05/2013 00:21 — alpeia2
Let me add my 2 cents worth so some anonymous person can bash what I think.

In my opinion I think adding entertainment value can be a good thing as long as it doesn’t adversely effect the story and/or the characters personality. The creators had an intent and I don’t think anybody has the right to change that intent. Adding/changing because of culture differences as long as it isn’t changing the intent that the original creators wanted is OK (This includes polishing a translation). Good example of going too far would be Commie with “Girls & Panzer.”

I would also like to see this AnimeNow bashing stop. If you don’t like their encoding just don’t DL it, simple.

Share the love & keep watching.

Stop taking Anime so serious as well and learn to let people have a say without having to start a huge load of arguments & flaming. If somone thinks it's shit ,so what? They're  entitled too.Take the same advice you all keep giving about the links for the comments,if you don't like them the comments ignore them and it will save having childish squabbles and embarrassing yourself .
30/05/2013 01:17 — alpeia2
The point is that if someone thinks something is shit, then they need to say why! It is a rule of this site. They opened the door to all this because they didn`t include a reason. End of story.
30/05/2013 02:00 — Anonymous
This site has no rules apart from the script/upload regulations https://animetosho.org/about.Where are you getting these rules from?.At the end of the day you can learn to act more mature and ignore it or keep whinging and making up rules that don't exist. Not everything in life has a reason or is fair so don't always expect one because it won't happen.

Please be aware of the following before commenting:
-Expired links do NOT get reuploaded as files are deleted after we process them
-Uploads are NOT instant, so please wait for them to be processed
-The entire uploading process is done by a bot which does NOT read any comments, so asking for links will have no effect on when they show up
---------->Critical comments are welcome, however note that statements such as "X is crap" or "Y sucks" are NOT criticisms and aren't useful to anyone. Please back such statements up with reasoning to be both informative and demonstrate that you aren't just some whiney kid.<----------
30/05/2013 02:35 — Anonymous
Not really rules ,more statements from the admin. The first 3 are about the upload system and the last is a general suggestion >not a rule.
30/05/2013 02:46 — zooby
By that logic everything here https://animetosho.org/about are just "statements" as well. "Upload regulations? Naw, those are just statements from the admin."

Looks like you're trying very hard to find a loophole that justifies bashing a group under the guise of free speech or something.
30/05/2013 03:18 — Anonymous
Free speech includes speaking freely about whatever you like or dislike. No loophole needed ,or is that a bit hard for you to comprehend.
30/05/2013 03:26 — zooby
So you've moved this argument from Animenow having crappy encodes to free speech? Also, nice ad hominem there.

You can continue to hate on a group's encodes as a part of your free speech, but by the same token, other people also have the right to disagree or voice opinions against your own.
30/05/2013 03:37 — hitanshu_conman
More kids trashing animenow? Lol.

These guys will never get a life. They don't provide logical arguments or coherent points. Every so often we'll get someone like that on here. THOSE guys.

Probably too scared to diss animenow on their site.
30/05/2013 03:58 — alpeia2
LOL
Q 30/05/2013 04:09 — http://www.stopcyberbullying.org/
Episode 3 is out of sync .No need to gang up on people and attack them when they don't give a long winded rundown of the flaws on a release or don't like something.http://www.stopcyberbullying.org/
30/05/2013 04:30 — alpeia2
No one is asking for a long winded rundown. Please just understand communication is important and saying something is shit without an explaination is not really saying anything. The statement writen in the first box by anonymous can also be concedered as bullying against AnimeNow for the same reason.

If they had stated that episode 3 was encoded out of sync I'm sure none of this would have happened.
Q 30/05/2013 04:50 — http://www.stopcyberbullying.org/
While that one comment may be construed as rude it is not the same as 3-4 individuals attacking someone for a single statement they disagree with on consecutive posts. Communication is very important like you said ,and you and others have shown a complete  lack of it and a disregard for people and the fact that mental health is a very serious and harmful issue that can cause people too harm themselves and be worsened by bad online communications .Hopefully the people who commented will read this and try to be more careful and mature with comments that may cause offense towards people in-future .
30/05/2013 04:58 — zooby
Wait, so now you've taken on the role of the "helpless victim"?

It's almost as if you think that you can do no wrong. No one would have started criticizing you if you were specific in the first place, friend.

It still falls under that "free speech" you talked about earlier as well. But of course, it's inconvenient to remember such a detail when it's not so beneficial to you eh?
30/05/2013 06:51 *alpeia2
Sorry you are sadly mistaken sir. Please review my posts again and you will see that I gave no lack of respect to anyone. I only stated the facts.
30/05/2013 03:43 *alpeia2
Yes just a statement from the guy who owns the site... To bad some people are less intelligent to follow it. I bet you are the guy/gal that always bashes my posts, same grammar problems.
30/05/2013 03:52 — zooby
Based on the punctuation, it could be the so-called "drunk guy" from the other time. LOL.

30/05/2013 03:53 — alpeia2
Yes exactly!!!
30/05/2013 01:17 — animetoday
this is not the right place to cry for their encodes. If you have problem, go to their site! Its already indicated their site!
A-Tosho is just a host just fetching what they can see in nyaa and tokyotosho..either it contains virus or not, horrible encodes or not as long as Eng Sub categories,,Problem? go to the original source!
30/05/2013 01:38 — alpeia2
Yes and no. If there is a problem with the encoding, then someone should state what the problem is so other people unaware don`t waste bandwith & time on downloading something they are only going to delete and have to reget from some other sub group. That is if the problem is an issue for them.

Share the love & keep... keep... watching?
30/05/2013 05:14 — animetoday
We have no choice for that :D We cant judge a food until we done eating or tasting it,,same with download,,we cant say its a good or bad choice to download a file without downloading it with ourselves..so its a risk...its up to you if you waste bandwith or time..
30/05/2013 06:41 — alpeia2
This is not food but data. If it's broken or not working in a way that it should of course someone who finds it should post what the problem is. Then at least people know before downloading it and they can decide for themselves if it is worth the time and effort. We don't need to download a broken or badly encode file to see it with our own eyes if someone else saw it first and warned us. I mean come on it's just common sense.
Q 30/05/2013 03:53 — Anonymous
http://animenowsubs.blogspot.co.uk/201...mment-form episode 3 is out of sync .Care to comment guys are you too busy talking shit about people for complaining.
30/05/2013 04:59 — zooby
Animenow- "Seems to be the encode, fixing now sorry about that."
30/05/2013 05:05 — hitanshu_conman
You've got some nerve to call people out for "talking shit" when you started it yourself. You got what was coming to you. Not to mention the fact that you should have said this from the start.

You definitely are the same person I talked to last time in here https://animetosho.org/view/animenow-k...264.621755
Q 30/05/2013 05:22 — http://www.stopcyberbullying.org/ .
Sorry that you did not read specific info on this release before commenting about it and resorting to lies and bullying. http://www.stopcyberbullying.org/ .
30/05/2013 07:17 *alpeia2
I'm sorry I really don't understand what you are trying to communicate here? It makes no sense to me.
30/05/2013 07:31 — zooby
He/she is playing the victim and trying to make it seem like this entire thing was a bunch of people ganging up and bullying him/her because of some "complaints" or something like that. Quite amusing and original though. Have not seen someone go from bashing a group to claiming to be a victim of cyberbullying like this before.
30/05/2013 05:34 — zooby
Wait until tomorrow so that we can see if this guy will say that he was drunk again.
