File seems corrupt. I get playback problems just past the 7 minute mark.

"Corruption" in the sense of errors in transmission or storage, are very rare these days as there are, for example, numeric checks to make sure the file you get by torrent is identical to the file they posted.

Chances are the show actually worked fine for the author. So you can wait and see if it gets fixed or find something else or install a few players on your system. I have shows that play fine on one player and not at all or weirdly on another, so I keep Potplayer, Media Player Classic from K-Lite and MPV available.
