Besides, the only files in it are two .xml metadata files, .ass subtitles and a bunch of fonts. None of these file types are used to distribute viruses.

Windows Defender seems to be reporting EVERYTHING as that virus recently, so any such reports should probably be taken with a large grain of salt.

These are the types of people who got scared when they watched an episode of "Bones" where someone's remains had zeros and ones etched into the bones, and when the scientists imaged the bones into the computer, it was infected with a virus. If you thought that, or .ass/.xml/font files can contain AND launch a virus, you're an idiot.

Just to play devil's advocate; ACKCHYUALLY🤓 a virus could be distributed in any file type if the application reading it has a vulnerability. Such CVEs are rare and depend on what you're opening the file with being exploitable.

at one point mkv headers could contain code that would be executed and not picked up by anything
