This is interesting because it means Suzaku’s actually seen Porco Rosso.Honjo asks himself, “What is this, Heartbreak Hotel?” – in actuality, he says, ‘What is this, Heartbreak Restaurant?’ – referencing a song of the same name by Kentaro Shimizu. The closest localized reference I could make that would make sense.The three Black Numbers attack in the same way as the Black Tristars from the original Mobile Suit Gundam. Izumi even points out (though he’s talked over, probably as a joke about using copyrighted material) that they’re using a Jet Stream Attack, which was their famous triple attack. Also referencing this is the usage of the E5 as a stepping stone. The Gundam leaps on one of the Doms (the type of mecha the Tristars used) and propels itself off of it.v3One more minor grammatical fix. |
