Two and a half years have passed since the Lost JuLai tragedy, a catastrophe that devastated an entire city and plunged the planet into turmoil. Meryl, now a seasoned journalist, resumes her quest to find Vash, joined by her spirited young partner, Milly. Along the way, they cross paths with Wolfwood. As a new wave of plant robberies emerges, the duo begins to suspect that Millions Knives's organization is once again pulling the strings behind the scenes.
