It is 1904, the Russo-Japanese war has just started and the Japanese army is getting ready to attack Port Arthur by establishing a training camp for female pilots in Hokkaido. Umakai Shintarou, a former diplomat who has once lived in Russia, is chosen to supervise the training. Although the girls — Sanada Momen, Honda Sarasa, Katou Asa, Fukushima Kinu, Kuroda Rinzu and Ichijouji Sumi — assigned to him overwhelm him, his sense of duty as a teacher brings him to guide these girls to complete their secret mission, although he does not even know what that secret mission is.
